Some great reining at the MRHA Autumn Slide in Lake St Louis, MO. “I couldn’t be more proud of my group of non pros this weekend. Definitely one of the highlights of my career was watching them and their horses these past 2 days. Proud to be associated with them all.” Cal.
Cyndi Olsen had her best run to date on Enterprising Wimpy to start the weekend off right. Cyndi and Enterprise were a great team and had a very correct and controlled run and made the entire pattern look effortless, especially the lead changes. Ciera Pearson and A Royal Pawn competed well at their 2nd ever NRHA show. Ciera and Chic have came a long way since this summer when Ciera had not ever seen a reining class before. They were much improved each day at the show, controlling the rundowns and stops like a pro on Sunday. Sherri Hartley had the best run of her life placing 2nd in the green rider on Heza Cool Reinmaker. Sherri and Reinmaker looked great and their turn-arounds made all of our heads spin, possibly even their own. Drexall Swan took the cake winning the NRHA green Reiner class and marking his first 70 in an NRHA class on his mare Ruf Lil Lady, aka Ginger. It was a sight to be seen. They were a great horse and rider duo, plussing both spins and having the best set of stops they’ve ever had. In a short period of time, Drexall has moved from a guy who has fun, to guy who consistently wins and still has fun.
The Missouri Reining Horse Association put on a great show, thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it possible. Lots of fun. Looking forward to next season.
